Anti-Wrinkle Injections

We offer Anti Wrinkle Injections at our Lancaster clinic based at Jo and Cass. Charlotte is a fully qualified, licensed and insured Aesthetic Practitioner and is a member of the CTIA.

Anti Wrinkle Injections otherwise more commonly termed as ‘Botulinum Toxin’ or ‘Botox’ have become one of the most popular aesthetic non surgical procedures in the world for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. More than three million anti-wrinkle injection treatments take place around the world every day and the use of it is well-researched and documented by science.

What are Anti Wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections consist of a purified protein which when injected into a target muscle blocks the transmission of signals from the nerve ending to the muscle causing temporary relaxation of the muscle. This means fine lines and wrinkles created by facial expressions from these muscles are no longer so visible or prominent once this action takes place.

What does Anti Wrinkle Injection treatment involve?

Anti-wrinkle injection treatment takes approximately 15 minutes to perform, and is not painful. The toxin is injected into a few specific points using a very fine needle, which means the treatment is comfortable with no anaesthetic required.

The amount of product injected will influence the amount of movement in the muscles, this is also dependent on various factors including age, previous injections, and skin elasticity. This means injections can offer a broad spectrum of results based on client desire, this can range from a very subtle appearance to a more frozen / catwalk appearance of the face.

Popular injection sites include the frown lines in between the eyebrows, upper forehead and crows feet / lines at the sides of the eyes.
